Flash Cleanup

Flash Cleanup Test from wesleyriot on Vimeo . This was a pencil test of one of the scenes from the film I animated for my BA in 2007, at GCADT. I decided to take it into Flash and try cleaning up and colouring it; this is the result. Thoughts?

Stalled

What have I been up to the last few months then? Art wise, nothing much. No animation projects going on. A design few commissions here and there. Criw Celf is dead (at least in Merthyr Tydfil). Mostly I've been using my time to read and to try and get better at photography (example above). I've been using the same DSLR for 10 years now, and it's only this year I've made a serious effort to try and learn how to better use Lightroom for editing and post processing. In fact I've made a whole blog just to post photos and nothing else, as well as my Instagram photography account which has been hanging around for years now. Recently I was at my Dad's and he made me watch the bits of Roadhouse that had Conor McGregor in. Afterwards, I did a quick doodle form memory, which you can see above. I enjoyed that, but honestly I haven't drawn anything since.

OLED Woes

About 3 years ago, my eldest child saved up his money towards getting a switch. We also took out replacement cover, which was a good move as just before Christmas the damn thing stopped working with the joycons. So we sent it off for repair, which was an absolute waste of time as it was returned still faulty. So they gave us a voucher to buy a new one; my son decided to put some of his money towards getting an OLED model instead. All good! But after setting it up, he asked to play my treasured copy of Breath of the World while his games downloaded, so of course I gave it to him. After 5 minutes of play time, it crashed, saying there was some sort of card error. We tried again a few times, but it kept throwing up this same error. Put it back in my switch and yep - same error. I'm not necessarily blaming the new switch for fucking up my game here, but the timing sucks shit, as I had just started a new game and was tweeting about how much better it is than Skyrim not one hour earlier....
